Despite clear disability, repeated pleas for help, and documented executive dysfunction, family members, courts, and systems responded with silence, restraining orders, and punishment instead of support.
This is not the story of a psychotic or abusive person. It is the story of a disabled woman who lost her child while struggling with a brain that makes basic functioning nearly impossible. I am still here, still fighting for the chance to be her mother again.
