Novels In Progress | by Iris
on my long-form fiction work
Greetings! Thank you for swinging by. I’m hopeful you might find some enjoyment perusing my works of long-form fiction at your behest. I’ve a righteous amount of work which is all uncompleted in-whole, and four full length novels completed in first-pass form. It’s all digestible none-the-less. My early work is, punctuation-wise/sentence-structurally, rough around the edges but always improving. It is in character, however.
Justiceers was my first novel. It’s about spiritually omniscient, justice dispensing pairs spread throughout a mostly benevolent space-culture known as The Periphery. It’s about gender and written as creative journals from its author who is keeping up retroactively and reliably unreliable.
Miriam Halafax is the canonical writer of every piece of fiction I ever create. Even in short form. She’s not always writing about herself. Justiceers have a lot of travel time. Her narration is subtle, but apparent with a keen eye. Not all stories are unreliable…
Every character who is written as a lead, even for a section of a chapter, is inflected into by emotionality reaching the language. It’s third person omniscient-inflected—something like that.

Justiceers
This is a new adult killer.
This is the opening to a trilogy-album-mini-series within The Foundry about mental health and time-space.

Welcome to Underwerth’s School of Mystery Teachings
One - Two - Three - Four - Five - Six
Gloria is Queen to-be - pure dysfunction, glorious, glorifying, gratuitous, grateful - inside out schizo-lead, still written in omniscient-inflected third person. This is a series and she takes the world through her paranoid-delusional schizophrenia written this way. If it’s fantasy or metaphor is unclear, until it’s not—there is a Hyrda near the end of this first volume that will break that wall down.
DO IT! DO IT, LETHAL! - time loop, sapphic, trans-inclusive, Bonnie & Clyde-vibes, three chapters around, four times through - this is a film with four leads waiting to happen
Chapter One - Chapter Two
Princess Starlit & The Icon
a story you might know, but better - one chapter complete, Ocarina of Time hamartia - ‘trees don’t need you to kill spiders, they need you to not carve out their insides’
the hottest thing ever written, one appropriately completed chapter - language it sparse in a sense of formal language evolved to simplicity in the future
Alice but not, dark/underworld take, sapphic
my one pure horror story, this ship showed up at the end of Time Throws Fire - I can’t
sequel to Justiceers, standalone Miriam title, Part One completed - a joy
One | Two | Three | Four | Five
will be a novel of collected short stories around Ini & Oui
the first chapter of twelve, the first novel of thirteen, about anti-gravity racing, each chapter is a race from the inside out — this is a television series or film franchise waiting to happen
