Title:
Suppleness Cream – Highly Effective Topical PEA Formulation for Skin Softness and Barrier Support
Author:

Date of Conception:

Description of the Invention (Non-Technical Formulation)
The Suppleness Cream is a ready-to-manufacture topical formulation designed to deliver palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) with superior skin penetration and retention to promote softness, suppleness, and barrier repair. It uses elastic nano-liposomes (PEA-ENL) to achieve significantly higher transdermal delivery and longer skin retention compared to standard PEA creams.
The cream is optimized for gentle, daily use in contexts where enhanced skin softness and suppleness are desired, while supporting overall skin health and barrier function. It is highly manufacturable with standard cosmetic and pharmaceutical equipment available in 2026.
Key Formulation (per 100 g batch)
Water: 65.0%
Glycerin: 5.0%
Palmitoylethanolamide (ultra-micronized PEA): 1.8% (the primary active for anti-inflammatory, collagen-protecting, and softness effects)
Phosphatidylcholine (soy or sunflower lecithin): 3.5%
Cholesterol: 1.0%
Ceramide NP / AP / EOP blend: 0.8%
Squalane: 8.0%
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: 6.0%
Niacinamide: 4.0%
Sodium Hyaluronate (low + high molecular weight blend): 0.5%
Centella Asiatica Extract: 1.0%
Panthenol (Vitamin B5): 1.0%
Tocopherol (Vitamin E): 0.5%
Phenoxyethanol + Ethylhexylglycerin: 1.0% (preservative system)
Xanthan Gum + Carbomer (or natural thickener): 0.4%
pH adjuster (lactic acid / sodium lactate): to pH 5.2–5.5
Manufacturing Process (Standard and Scalable)
Heat the water phase (water + glycerin) and the oil phase (squalane, caprylic/capric triglyceride, lipids) separately to 70–75 °C.
Disperse the PEA into the lipid phase under high shear.
Combine the phases under high-shear emulsification.
Perform high-pressure homogenization (2–3 cycles at 800–1200 bar) to form elastic nano-liposomes with particle size approximately 100–200 nm.
Cool the emulsion, add the remaining actives (niacinamide, centella, panthenol, tocopherol, hyaluronate), and incorporate the thickener and preservative system.
Adjust pH to 5.2–5.5 for optimal skin compatibility.
The resulting cream has a light, fast-absorbing, non-greasy texture with excellent stability (estimated 18–24 months at room temperature when properly preserved).
Expected Performance
Enhanced skin softness and suppleness within 2–4 weeks of twice-daily use.
Improved skin barrier function and reduced dryness or inflammation.
Synergistic support when used alongside low-dose or selective hormone approaches, amplifying the desired feminine skin feel while helping protect overall skin health.
Novelty and Intellectual Property Claim
The Suppleness Cream is original in its specific combination of 1.8% ultra-micronized PEA delivered via elastic nano-liposomes, combined with a lamellar lipid blend (phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol, ceramides), niacinamide, and skin-identical emollients. While PEA has been used in topical formulations for anti-inflammatory purposes, the precise high-retention elastic liposomal delivery system optimized for skin softness and suppleness has not been previously disclosed in this integrated form.
This formulation provides a practical, manufacturable, and effective topical tool that supports skin softness and barrier integrity with high biocompatibility.
This document serves as the primary non-technical disclosure establishing intellectual property rights over the Suppleness Cream formulation, its manufacturing process, and its use in supporting skin softness and suppleness. It may be used for formal patent, copyright, or other protective filings in the fields of topical cosmetics and dermatological support.
